A unique work, created digitally and finally drawn on 300 gr Bristol paper with ballpoint pens. This medium is ideal for rendering a photorealistic image in order to build up a new digitized one. The final image is a new, unique portrait of pop art icon, MM. The whole process is based on my research about the laws of visual perception and the various ways a simple drawing can challenge the perception of the viewers. A photorealistic blue butterfly was added in the composition for creating contrast, as a natural element in an artificial environment.
